Science Illustrations for Newcastle University
Chemical Nanoscience Laboratory
A series of Illustrations for the Newcastle University Chemical Nanoscience Laboratory to 'spruce' up the department!

The brief involved creating three A1 Illustrations depicting an interpretation of certain scientific processes described under each of the images below. Each Illustration would need to have 3 different matching backgrounds so in total a display of 9 images could be created. These images would be displayed in rows of three with one of each different background next to each other. There will be some photos below to help understand this unbelievably complicated description.
DNA based electronics - image of a piece of DNA merging into an electronic circuit or microprocessor.
Enzymatic production of new nanosclae materials - image where a piece of DNA is being "read" by an enzyme to produce a new material as it comes out the other end.
Silicon based molecular systems image showing how a silicon chip can be made up of lots of molecules on the surface behaving as transistors.
